"The most profound pilgrimage I can ever make is within my own body."
~Saraha
Lindsi began her exploration into yoga and eastern spirituality as a teenager, introduced by one of her high school teachers who taught her from a place of selfless service. With warmth and compassion she was presented with the foundations of meditation, yoga and an alternative healing lifestyle.
From her initial exposure, Lindsi was a dedicated student, recognizing a deep connection with the path of self-discovery. Her devotion to conscious living led her to integrate her passion for yoga and natural healing into her college degree through creating a major in Holistic Health. Since then she has spent time at various yoga centers and spiritual communities throughout the US, Canada and India. Her style of hatha yoga, highlighted by Iyengar, Desikachar and nurturing restorative poses, forms a contemplative, deep and breath centererd practice. Lindsi continues this soulful discovery of yoga, emphasizing mindfulness of the mental, spiritual and emotional bodies as much as the physical. She further explores the mind-body-spirit connection through the inspirational healing arts of dance, bodywork and counselling. Through the synthesis of her life experience, Lindsay provides a supportive atmosphere that holds space for insight and integration to naturally occur. Her personal practice is complimented by vipassana meditation, which supports her in seeing through the mind’s conditioning, allowing her to live more fully in the present.
Lindsi recieved her first yoga alliance teacher training certification in 2004 at Yoga On Main in Philadelphia. Continuing her training in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, she completed a comprehensive 650-hour program and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. As a yoga therapy practitioner, she guides people one on one into the deeper aspects of the self through gentle, assisted, breath centered yoga and is dedicated to using the body as a path to the heart. The approach is simple, enjoyable and deeply therapeutic.
Lindsi currently lives on Maui, HI, where she weaves the gentle beauty of the island around her into daily life, where the warm winds, waterfalls and ocean constantly reflect the nature of embodied presence. |
